Design and evaluation of dual-resonant aggregates metaconcrete

Metaconcrete is a newly manmade concrete where traditional aggregates are partially replaced by resonant aggregates. The metaconcrete slab can attenuate vibration in the specific frequency bandgap which created locally To enhance attenuation performance of slab, dual-resonant aggregate was designed and embedded into slab. Firstly, mass-in-(mass-in-mass) analytical model used to predict characteristics metaconcrete. Then, eigenfrequency investigation conducted acquire dispersion curve periodic unit cell using finite element software COMSOL Multiphysics. effects mass stiffness ratios parameters on studied. responses reveal that wave mitigation two bands. results offer base for optimal design structural protections resist loading.
